2016 Honda Fit Release, Redesign and Review

2016 Honda Fit will also get a new platform and a much lighter weight, which is the result of extra-light material used in the construction of the machine. When it comes to size, the machine will not be affected by about 1.6 centimeters shorter than its predecessor generation, but his step is 1.2 inch wider. The broader step means that the next Honda Fit will continue to be more spacious and more comfortable (on the back legs will increase with about 4.8 inches) than the second generation model.

2016 Honda Fit will be available in three main trim levels. These are the base LX, mid-range EX and premium EX-L trim.
Most of the current exterior details of the Fit will be reported to the next MY. Thus, except for some minor changes, the 2016 Fit have passed for his predecessor. These external changes give the car a fresher, tidier and more attractive appearance. The most visible change of style will be seen at the front end, where you will get a new front grille, made of materials of high quality plastic and chrome details. A recognizable Honda emblem will be attached to the center of the grid. The car will also receive slightly restyled headlights with LED technology, a new front bumper and roof spoiler. It will run on new 16-inch alloy wheels, and might even come up with some new exterior colors.

When it comes to interior 2016 Honda Fit model to come up with too many changes in this area. Standard equipment will likely remain as they are. This means that the new Fit will still come standard with features like a leather steering wheel, electric front seats, power windows, automatic climate control, audio system and a navigation system with 8-inch screen. The car will not be larger than before, and the arrangement of the seat will not be altered. Honda Fit currently offers the largest load space in its class, and this will remain so.

2016 Honda Fit gets most of the changes under the hood. Firstly, the current standard 1.5 liter VTEC engine will be dropped for a smaller but powerful 1.3 liter engine that will churn out around 130 horsepower and 100 lb-ft of torque. A standard six-speed manual and a more efficient continuously-variable transmission (CVT) gearboxes will remain the car’s choices of transmission but its fuel consumption will go up to as much as 42 MPG on average for the CVT gearbox. There are also rumors that Honda Fit will now offer the American buyers a hybrid powertrain, like it does in Japan. We have not confirmed this but if this is true, the hybrid version will run in an Atkinson cycle, and it will have 1.5 liters in displacement. Thanks to the Atkinson cycle and a 7 speed dual clutch gearbox, the hybrid unit will generate up to 150 horsepower while returning 50 MPG.

2016 Honda Fit will be launch in the second quarter of this year. Since the car will not come with too many changes, it should be similarly priced as the outgoing model, which ranges from $ 16,000 - $ 21,000.
